While I absolutely LOVED Eisenstein's Ascent of Humanity I was vastly disapointed with the lectures I saw him give on The Yoga of Eating. Instead of giving any useful advice on diet, Eisenstein goes on endlessly about how diet is a personal thing and everybody has their own truth. Apparently the only problem with junkfood is when we judge ourselves for eating it (who knew?). Durian Rider would tear this guy to pieces. I don't even want to imagine what his takedown vid would be like (brutal!) He talks about getting in touch with what your body is "asking for." Maybe it needs a smoothie, maybe it needs chocolate cake.
The only reason he wouldn't do a vid on this guy is that he's not really a food guru and doesn't actively promote a meat/dairy lifestyle (he promotes What-ever-you-want-atarianism). Big time fence-sitter. Like I said I was really dissapointed. Charles needs to go raw for 30 days sometime, it would change his life and he might have something useful to write about instead of this pile of spiritual wu-wu.
ok, I see now! thank you very much for your reply , it is very helpful!
I heard a lecture he did on the book, so I can only speak about that. Charles is an extremely giving person as I'm sure you know and he shares a lot of his material online at his websites. The lecture I heard was at http://www.ascentofhumanity.com/the-yoga-of-eating-seminar.php
I'd say listen for yourself, I didn't get much from it, but maybe you will.
ok, thank you! I will listen to it!
