Just thought I would recommend this wonderful podcast I just came accross- its called "The Unplug Podcast: Personal growth for critical thinkers with compassionate hearts" with Deb Ozarko. Its really a great podcast and she has some very insightful things to say.
I would recommend episode #33 where she interviews Will Tuttle, author of the World Peace Diet. He talks about the stages of veganism people go through and at the end you finally reach a point where you give up the notion that there are enemies (aka meat eaters) against you and you start to feel compassion for everyone. Everyone has been born into this world of conformity and consumerism and some people are trying the best they can with the knowledge or lack thereof that they have. Deb also feels that the word vegan doesnt really feel appropriate anymore when it becomes so much more than food or animals- its about respect for living beings and interconnectedness.
So yeah, check it out- let me know what you think :)
