I'm new to this HCLF vegan lifestyle, about a month in and a total of 5 months as a vegan. I'm also 16 years old. I do not buy the majority of my food, and instead rely on my mom. There's really no viable way for me to get enough calories through totally raw because of cost, so I eat raw through the day and then get half of my calories through a cooked meal( usually potato wedges, mashed potatoes, or corn pasta, sometimes oatmeal, or rice) around 5pm.
I know this is not the ideal diet, but all my food is organic and it's much better than a typical SAD diet. I see so many stories of people thriving on raw, that I was just wondering if anyone had success eating cooked meals on top of raw.
By the way, I'm 5'7,125lbs, & I'm getting around 2,000-2,300 cals in a day, but I plan on upping that because I'm quite active and have been craving more fats lately.
But any advice & tips are welcome! (:

you are doing great !
slowly nudge up your calories to 2500 so you met all your requirements iron and other minerals
Thank you! I'm going to try to aim closer to 3,000 & see what happens! I also run a 5k about 4 times a week, lift about twice a week, & am on my feet running around the entire time I'm at work.
