I've just finished a ride and burst into tears. So I though it must be about time I ask for some much needed help.
After 10 months into HCLFV I am not thriving I'm not feeling like I should be. I'm tired most of the time my skin keeps breaking out my mental clarity feels pretty average if not worst most days. I stuff in the fruit during the day and then potatoes and veggies at night (rice does not digest well) averaging about 2,000 - 2,300 a day, I drink at least 3lts of water each day, and I always feel over full and gross there is no way I could fit another bite in. I was never overweight and now I am which is very disheartening.
I exercise 6 days a week riding, running and strength training. Im always moving.
I'm at the point where I think I may have to reduce the amount Im eating.
My man has been vegan consistently for the last 5 months is feeling the best he has ever felt, he eats less than me with a higher fat % in his diet which includes grains and bread. He has lost and is losing more fat and gaining heaps of energy everyday.
Has anyone out there had these issues and overcome them?
Thanks for your comment Nicole.
I'm getting about 8 hours each night. I work arvo shifts so don't finish until 9pm and try to get to bed by 11pm up around 7-7:30 - stay in bed for longer if I can :)
Youre calorie restricting. Especially if you are that active you are going to need WAY more calories! Eat high calorie fruits as much as you can during the day (bananas, dates, mango, etc.) then pound in the cooked carbs later in the day if youre doing the RT4.
Get at least 9 hours of sleep every night, optimally 11 hours.
Also increase your water intake. females should be getting upwards of 4 liters per day.
Thanks Aaron, I have decided to go all raw with more cals and will take up your advise on the water and sleep :)
Hi JenBee, im in a similar boat to you, 10months in & not feeling good. I decided to go raw until i get the results i want. I have been raw now for nearly three weeks and noticing improvements in my skin. Good luck! xoxo
Thanks Lil Green Coconut :) Thats so good to hear you are getting results. Im 5 days in and feeling improvements already.
You are not following the 30BaD protocols, 2500 min. for ladies, add more for activity. 3500 would be a good minimum for you to start with considering your activity level. As for being able to eat more, you need to eat one food per meal or even per day. For example just about anyone can eat 2 large mangoes for a meal, do this 9 times daily to get to 3600 calories. As your digestion heals and gets faster you can eat bigger meals and add greens back in and maybe some cooked carbs too.
Are you peeing 10+ times daily?
Do you use proper food combing rules?
What is your past health history?
Have you ever calorie restricted?
Why are you not following the 30BaD protocols for 10 months?
Have you read through Aloha to 30BaD's Welcome Wagon!?
If you must revert to cooked then try sweet potatoes for best digestion. 100% raw will get you the best digestion so you can fit more in and start feeling high energy and high mood today!
You need to rest, recharge that inner battery, training is draining, sometimes I feel this way, I spend a day just doing nothing, just eating resting drinking sleeping, in the morning you feel great!!
Hi Raw Tasha :) Slowly feeling better, I have noticeable improvements in digestion, wake up with a flatter belly ready for breaky (before I was still full the previous nights dinner), skin is very smooth and getting clearer. Mostly having smoothies for dinner, can not stomach raw savoury food recipes at the moment and I really want to get as many cals in as possible so bending plenty of greens at night!! I noticed though when I was trying to eat a raw savoury dinner I struggled to get in enough cals and that resulted in a very restless sleep. I feel like every day there are improvements especially mentally and that is my main concern at the moment:)
For the last year I ate 4000-6000 calories per day. Over double what you eat.
Hi BSA, If I could man I would eat that much :) I am adding more cals each day by going raw though. Would say its due to faster digestion.
