30 Bananas a Day!

So, Digestive Issues.. As in horrible, putrid, room-clearing flatulence. Yayy

I have dealt with terrible, foul-smelling gas for as long as I can remember, really... And I'm always bloated, even when I'm hungry. I haven't singled out what causes it yet but I suspect it may be too high a fat percentage in my food or perhaps how quickly I eat (I kind of scarf down my food.. Like, 2 liter banana smoothie in less than 15 minutes kind of scarf.) Anyway, just wondering/hoping someone out there has had the same experience as me, and has remedied it. In the meantime I will toy with keeping my fat intake even lower (no almond milk, no brazil nut, even if it's just 1-2, not even peppermint oil in my smoothie. Just, ugh. I can't stand this horrible gas... And my poor, poor boyfriend has to witness it too. Lol, so if you have any helpful advice, I'd greatly appreciate it. In fact, if your advice works, I'll be indebted to you forever.

I've been logging my eating accounts in Cronometer, so I'll show you guys my past 2 days' worth of logs in chronological order:

Friday

Banana-Date smoothie for breakfast (6 bananas, 5 dates, water- little over a liter)

Banana-Date smoothie for lunch (same proportions, but added 1/2 tsp Peppermint Oil)

Baked Potatoe "Fries" (about 4 good sizes potatoes) with Freelee's sweet chili sauce (Coconut sugar, Chilies, Green Onions, Lemon and Lime Juice)

Saturday (yesterday)

Date-o-rade for breakfast:

1/2 liter Homemade Almondmilk, 1/2 liter Water, Dates, 1/2 tsp Peppermint oil (has safflower oil in it)

20 Dried Apricots and Coconut Water for lunch

For dinner, nearly a pound of salad with Swiss Chard, Arugula, Romaine, Tomatoes, Green Onion, Sweet Peppers, and 1 tbsp of homemade Brazil Nut "Parmesan" (probably the equivalent of 2-2.5 brazil nuts), with a sweet chilli dressing (Freelee's recipe: Coconut sugar, Green Onions, Chilies, Lemon and Lime juice)

And 2nd dinner, an hour later, out with friends.. 1 cup of Mango Sticky Rice at a Thai restaurant

And today I had a banana-date smoothie for breakfast (8 bananas, 8 dates, 1 cup of water)

I drink a good amount of water every day. I pee clear all day, except sometimes in the morning it won't be so clear.

 Hi Try this it helps me http://youtu.be/vmSHZt3lObE also into your banana smoothie add a teaspoon of cinnamon (make sure its true cinnamon or ceylon cinnamon) and a 1/4  teaspoon of turmeric (it sounds gross but it's really not) research cinnamon and turmeric ginger lemon etc all great healers and aid digestion! let me know how it pans out!

Some people like to do a banana (fave fruit) island for a few days or weeks until digestive system healed.  

Some people find as time passes, they feel better with raw living foods verses cooked foods.  

Eat simple or mono meals.  

I personally cannot do the juicing or smoothies and have to eat fruits and foods in whole, raw, and ripe form.  

Make sure fruits are ripe...

You might be oxalate sensitive, and things like potatoes, grains, kale, chard, spinach and dates might be irritating for you.

Eat a raw frugivorous diet where most carbohydrates and calories come from whole raw ripe sweet and juicy fruits like oranges, papaya, or mangoes, supplemented with about ½-2 heads of lettuce greens a day (like iceberg and romaine) and about a handful of raw nuts or seeds a day. Eat simple meals but a rainbow of foods over a period of time.  

Eat enough on a daily basis with at least 2500 calories for females and at least 3000 calories for males.  Drink 2-4 quarts of water a day and pee clear. Get 8-12 hours of sleep as needed. Exercise about 30 minutes a day 5-6 days a week with at least one day off for rest and repairs.  Get about 30 minutes of sunshine a day on your skin for vitamin D, mental health, eye health, and healthy bones and teeth.

I've finally gotten my own problems to completely stop and I found it was being caused mainly by three things:

1. The fruit that I was eating was not completely ripe, especially berries and frozen fruit. Every time I added frozen fruit to a smoothie, my stomach was bloating up and causing gas.

2. Eating too fast. I've really had to slow down my meals. I was also chugging a 10 banana smoothie in 10 minutes. Now that I've slowed it down to 30 or 40 minutes, it's so much easier on my stomach. 

3. Dried fruit. I don't think my digestive system is strong enough to handle it if I'm eating fresh fruit later in the day. Soaking it seems to reduce the problem, but it doesn't completely eliminate it. Even dates give me a hard time if I eat more than just a small handful.

Another thing- if I eat too soon after waking up, it also causes me problems. I used to wake up at 7, chug some water, and then eat 15 minutes later. I really need to give myself an hour or two before I have my breakfast. I've found that my body is much more prepared for food at this point and I have less problems with bloating and gas all day long. My stomach doesn't seem to get so backed up and fermenting stops being a problem. I'm not sure if this could be an issue for you, but I noticed a huge improvement after I made this change. Just something I thought I would mention.

I suspect the dates are giving you gas. Try going off them for a few days and see what happens. If you find relief try adding them back in without combining.

green onions when cooked well done makes stuff smell like a meat eater. tried cutting out the spices or maybe cooking things more in a stir-fry kind of way?

finish your starch dinner by 5pm or as early as possible for optimal digestion & sleep  gives ample time for digestion to completely finish and start fresh in the new day with no fermentation..

avoid oils and raw dark greens like swiss chard ( better steamed in my opinion if you want them ) stay with tender easy greens like romaine 

eat nuts as a mini mono meal/snacks & never mix with fruit  i wouldn't mix almond milk with fruit   it would bloat the **** out of me   : )

get some play movement outdoors  best time is early morning 

 eat slow and get to bed early, get the bulk of eating done early in the day
