30 Bananas a Day!

Hi all, I've been doing very well on the lfrv lifestyle for about 2 weeks now. I know -so little time. But I've been finding that eating the larger volume of food is slowing down transit time in my GI tract. I can tell it's very happy on this new diet, but it's still causing me some difficulty. I've never been eaten this much fresh fiber before. I'm recovering from celiac/ibs/Gi difficulties etc.

Does anyone have any particular suggestions? Should I water fast at all? I feel like my system needs a break. I'm not sure.

make sure you're not eating too late at night, and if you're not hungry when you wake up, don't eat breakfast or lunch until you are definitely hungry. Are you following food combining rules? Keep your wateriest foods earlier in the day, and go more progressively toward the "denser" fruits.
Pineapple, fresh cut, has helped me in the past when I was just getting used to a high fruit diet. It contains the enzyme bromelain which is a good for aiding in digestion- you should look it up. :)   But you need to eat the pineapple within an hour or so of cutting it, because after that the enzyme rapidly starts breaking down.
And the hydration and sleep thing, of course.
This is just some of the things I've noticed worked for me. Just give it time and eventually you will clear out. :)
Thanks :)

There are more than few people on here with celiac that have found relief doing 811.  Here are three:

Eating slow, nothing cold, mono meals, maybe skip greens for a while if they are causing digestive problems, these are the suggestions I've read that seems to be working for people.

I have/had terrible digestion. Make sure to drink at least 1 liter of water FIRST THING in the morning. This made a HUGE difference in my digestion. I get better results in 1.5 liters.

Drink about 30minutes before eating..500mls to 1 liter.

Eat mono meals. Don't eat too fast. I also find eating fruit in its whole form is much better on my digestive system however its easier getting the calories in with blended fruit.  Chew your food really well.

I prefer to avoid greens and only have them very seldom. This isn't ideal, but its what works for me now. As my digestive system gets better I am sure this will change.

Keep things simple and consistent.

soaked chia seeds, the highest source of Omega-3s, are also very mucilaginous..... therefore helpful to the digestive tract.  The high omega-3 content balances whatever omega-6s you have in your system, or are intaking. A 50/50 ratio is fairly optimum between omega-3s & omega-6s.   The correct fat balance is something few achieve, and just cutting way back on intake is only a first step...... you need to "add back" the missing omega-3s that are a bit scarce, except in chia seed and flax .... but flax is not as perfect as chia (flax has some phytoestrogens that may be troublesome if eaten as a staple).
