30 Bananas a Day!

So yesterday I posted my meal plan which included

1 liter of water

1/2 of a watermelon

Bag of green grapes

1 liter of water

'10' green/banana smoothie ( I only put 7 in, no greens)

and another '10' banana smoothie at work

1 liter water

 

Well I was so anxious to try the banana smoothie the first time since this was day 1 so I did not add greens, I ate that around 330 pm. Shortly before work I started to get a headache... The headache just grew very fast into a migraine. I felt so sick & pukey while my head was pounding. I didn't attempt to eat the other smoothie until 7 pm thinking it might help my stomach.. As soon as I took the first drink I felt I was going to vomit. Tried to drink water same thing.. I ended up just putting it down continued to feel sicker & sicker.. A little later I rushed to the bathroom were I almost didn't make it and threw up a lot.. Came home & went straight to bed.. Does anyone know why this happened? Its really scaring me from continuing..

What type of diet are you coming from?

A very poor unhealthy fatty diet. :-/ tea, coffee, junk foods, fried foods..  I did eat sort of healthy also salads, grilled chicken, lots of water, ff milk ect..  

Haven't read your post yet, but grilled chicken and fat free milk are destructive of course
That's bizarre I have never heard of this before. Were your bananas very spotty aka ripe?

Did the grapes/watermelon cause this too, or was it just the bananas?

Edit: I have heard if people vomiting, but not from bananas specifically

I'm thinking it was just the bananas that's all I could smell when I threw up and just the smell of the smoothie was turning my stomach... Yeah they were spotty little to no green on them.

Just curious, when did you make the smoothies vs. actually drinking them? I used to try and make banana smoothies for work and when I went to drink them a few hours later they had an over-ripened smell, brownish look and bitter taste. Now I drink one at home, for breakfast and another one before dinner. Otherwise, I only bring bananas whole when I am on the run. I ask because I used to gag them down and feel sick too.

Well the first one I drank right after I made it and that was the one that I threw up the other one I stuck in the fridge and could only get like two drinks down before I felt way to sick to continue.

If I'm not mistaken, some people on here have some sort of sensitivity/allergy to bananas and have to avoid them. It'd be worth looking into.
Also, coming straight from a SAD diet to this could be another cause of your nausea and vomiting (detox/your body not used to processing that much fruit etc)
Definitely don't give up though. If diving straight into HCRV doesn't work for you maybe just try going HC vegan first. Good luck!

Thank you. I definitely did not want to give up I wanted to give this 100%... I just cant feel sick all the time like that.. I have kids I have to be up/happy/healthy feeling for them ( I don't want to be all grumpy and miserable around them ) and I have a job that I have to do a lot of work in. Like yesterday I was able to get things done but not to the best of my ability's because all I could focus on was feeling sick.. My head was pounding, I was light headed, nauseated it was horrible :(. I felt like just giving up, I cried seriously because I just really wanted to do this I am tired of being overweight and unhealthy..

Hi I have kids my self and its hard when you can't concentrate. I would recommend that you start on day when you not at work and when the kids are perhaps with grandparence.
Specialy going of very unhealthy diet you can experience headache, lethargy and sickness. I started my detox by juicing and smoothies for five days and by the 4th day I felt mood lifting and plenty energy but unfortunately I followed the high fat raw food diet with lots of supplements an fail over and over again until I find freelee on you tube and started to understand.
I am on this few months now.
I didn't like the bananas on the beginning as I experienced terrible heartburn after consuming them but that had nothing to do with the bananas but the high fat diet I eat before.
I drunk date smoothie instead of banana and I loved it.
I was eating only 2-3 bananas at one time but soon I stop to have heartburns and now I can eat as many bananas I care for.
Be patient, listen to your body and don't give up.

Yeah maybe your body can't handle all the fruit but it sounds more like a banana sensitivity, unfortunately. I can't eat very many bananas myself. They constipate me. Definitely look into that.

That definitely sounds like a migraine to me - I first started getting them as a child as a symptom of my (undiagnosed, at the time) Celiac disease.  Very strong nausea and vomiting always accompany my migraines.  It has an effect similar to getting a bad hangover and swearing off whichever particular drink you had the night before - when I get nausea during a migraine, the last thing I ate becomes the most disgusting thing in the world to me. 

As far as why YOU got a migraine, the only thing I can think of is: a diet based around tea, coffee, and fried foods is severely dehydrating.  Such a huge increase in your water consumption (watermelon + a couple of liters + grapes + a big smoothie = a shitload of water) could have had a diuretic effect and triggered a migraine.
