30 Bananas a Day!

The more fruit I eat in a day the more sensitive my teeth are at the end of the. It can get so uncomfortable I don't want to eat more. I'm fine in the morning but as the day goes and the more fruit I eat it gets worse. It only hurts to eat fruit, anything else is fine :(

why does this happen and what can I do to prevent it? Will Sensodyne help?

I don't know maybe it's related with the quantity of fat you eat, even fat fruit.

When I was a frutarian I felt it, but I had some stomach problems and was eating too much fat and few calories.

Today for example it started to hurt while eating mangos (after OJ for breakfast and bananas for lunch) and then it got  worse when I had somw kiwi and Really bad when I had some apples.

Typical day for me is all fruit during the day (sometimes I throw some greens in a smoothie) and high carb cooked at night with a big green salad. And also a green juice sometime in the day/night.

Yes I still have some cooked foods most dinners are still cooked (high carb) with a big salad, everything else is raw. Very little dates, haven´t had any in a while.

Very low fat (some nuts or a little avocado maybe twice a week).

I try to make sure all my fruit is ripe but sometimes it could be a little more ripe (when it´s all I have, but never untasty kinda unripe)  I guess.

not really a history of dental problems but have had sensitive teeth in the past (always hard for me to eat pineapple for example but not THIS bad).

I use an electronic toothbrush and fluoride free/"natural" toothpaste

I have no history of bulemia, acid reflux or drug/alcohol use.

Sensitive teeth means that permeability of the enamel has increased. Your salvia protects and rebuilds enamel.
Rinse your mouth with water each time after you eat
Do you eat dates or dried fruit?

Judging by the amount of dentists and sensitive tooth paste commercials on TV I see, its a common issue.

I even have sensodyne tooth paste commercials come up when Im watching youtube lol!

I dont get sensitive teeth now I eat and live right. Hydration is a big factor too. So many people dont drink enough water and they get cavities from having a dry mouth.

Freelee talks about this in her book.

I got sensetive teeth when I was eating mostly dates for weeks, about 1kg of dates each day. I solved the problem by taking a break from eating mostly dates. In my case it took just a couple of days to solve the problem. I'm sure it could've been avoided by rinsing my mouth with water after each meal though.

My advice in your situation would be to just be careful with your teeth at this point because the enamel is already weak. Maybe even eat mostly blended food and rinse your mouth with water after each meal.
After some time the enamel would get rebuilt and you could pay a lot less attention to this. It might take just a couple of days or more.

Not sure how often you're eating as you haven't mentioned this, but one thing that's helped me massively is avoiding snacks.  I eat 3 large meals a day and nothing in-between.  I believe your teeth remain acidic for up to an hour after eating, so limiting the frequency that you eat will mean they're exposed a lot less often!  I was getting sensitive teeth all the time when I started out on 801010 as I wasn't eating big enough meals which led to me grazing throughout the day - since I upped the meal size and stopped snacking I've had no problems with teeth sensitivity.

Interestingly, while in Europe, my teeth would regularly hurt from eating fruits, and I felt a need to always eat them with greens and to rinse & clean my teeth after every meal. Now in Thailand, my teeth never hurt and they seem stronger and cleaner although I haven't been eating much greens. It feels like the enamel is re-growing fast.

i dont have sensitive teeth but i know someone close to me that does - within 8 weeks of doing of 801010 and throwing out all toothpastes (natural or not) especially the electric toothbrush - their teeth stopped being sensitive - now they have totally natural teeth hygiene and theyre cavities have stopped altogether with no sensitivity.

Do you eat any greens during the day?

I had the same problem until I started holding a few drops of these minerals in my mouth after brushing for as long as a can  (usually about 10 mins)

You can swallow them because they are meant to be added to water.  It really makes a difference.  It helps strengthen/rebuild the enamel slowly :)!

If the fruit is not 100% tree ripened, the acids will destroy your teeth and cause them to become very sensitive. They will erode the enamel over time. Eating under ripe citrus fruits is a major pitfall for many vegans. I speak from experience and I paid a high price, not only in pain and sensitivity, but also in expensive dental work. I didn't know I was damaging my teeth until it was too late. An orange farmer in Escondido, California, once told me how acidic oranges are even if they look orange. He said that there are too many greedy farmers who pick the fruit before it ripens, in order to get a high price for first of the season crops. He always waits 6-8 weeks longer to make sure the fruit sugar is at the correct level. If the oranges, grapefruits, pineapples, etc. are fully ripe, then you have nothing to worry about and you can eat to your heart's content. Stay away from even partially green oranges and pineapples and look for a deep, warm orange-red glow. I would avoid eating straight lemons, even if they are ripe.

Long time fruitarian. Teeth issues  + obesity. ;)
