The orange Dynamic ones are industrial strength and size.
Thanks! Pricey though...
wow i wish i had that.
Sometimes you can get these for half price ($50) on ebay. Right now I only see the 5 gallon version, which is way too large. The 2.5 is the size to get.
They DOOO make salad spinners for the likes of us!! I could even store it in there! Right now I struggle just to find a place to put all my lettuce!
Only problem for me is... how'm I gonna get this back home in a suitcase?? I can just see me flying 24 hours with this thing on my lap, muttering, "you wouldn't understand..."
I don't have one now, they tend to be too small as well as break too easy. This is my dream salad spinner:
5 Gallon seems like a lot as well. 2.5 seems like it would be better for 1-2 people right?
I prefer this zyliss over the oxo. I have both, the zyliss has a string you pull (like a lawnmower) and this allows you to really get the thing spinning fast and get the produce extra dry compared to oxo. It's more work though. I haven't broken mine yet, but often wondered how much more it can take of me cranking on it. http://www.amazon.com/Zyliss-Salad-Spinner-Servings-White/dp/B0002F...
I really like those industrial ones! Not sure I can see dropping $100 on a salad spinner though.
The OXO one is the best. $30, works well, and it lasts a lot longer than the others. Get the plastic one though, not the stainless steel version. I looked into it, because I though it would be more heavy duty. but I read that only the bowl is SS, and the gears are still plastic, so it breaks even sooner. It'll only do 1 to 2 heads of lettuce at a time, but I can't see me making 5 gallons of salad at a time very often. and then you have to store it and drag it out every night.
I've never understood why you would need a salad spinner. Aren't you just going to put dressing on the salad anyway? Who cares if its wet or not?
i use my fingers like a spread easy spider.
I'm too lazy to wash my salad, I just wipe the dirt off :)
