30 Bananas a Day!

Hey guys!!!

Ok so I'm starting this journey YET AGAIN (5th time) and Im sincerely wanting it to "stick". I turned 41 in April and I've been struggling with mu weight and general "icky-ness". I've got pre-menapausal issues, stomach issues. and lethargy just to name a few things. Nothing "formally diagnosed" but i KNOW my body isn't "right". Going raw in the past as a "cleanse" made me feel great but maintaining it despite how awesome I felt was a challenge because I didn't have support of friends and family.

All of that said, upon evaluating my previous efforts I realized that failure to plan was a HUGE part of my problem.... aside from that I struggle with getting down the volume required of fruit and veggies. I don't intentionally restrict, i just run out of room! All if well for 2-3 days and then I become ravenous and completely fall off my path and head straight back to eating crap. This is my cycle. 

Any advice that anyone has with any (or all) of this I'd appreciate it. I do not want to spend the rest of my life feeling the way I do now. It is affecting so many areas of my life that I feel a tad out of control. Even if you have no advice, your support and encouragement is welcomed. I could use it.

Hey! my heart goes out to you. My journey for sure hasn't been smooth, but along the way i've learned some tricks. I find if i prepare all my food for the day in the morning, then i'm less tempted to eat other stuff. If you don't have time in the morning, do it at night.

Don't be hard on yourself, remind yourself why you're doing this which is hopefully because you want to care for your body.

Smoothies are a great way to get in lots of calories in. I find blending bananas without water is great for fitting more food in without taking as much room. the bananas have enough water in them anyway!

Getting exercise is really important to help speed up your metabolism. i hope this helps a little :)

I appreciate that. Thank you..... So far I've done well for the last 2 days. It's been pouring rain here so I haven't gotten out to exercise but on the positive side, it's allowed me to really focus and to take the time to enjoy what I'm eating...... S far so good
Hi Vickie - I started this lifestyle about four months ago, and I really had to play around with it in the beginning to get it to suit my body. Now I may get slammed on here saying this, but you're asking for advice, and I want to help. I simply can't get in those huge calorie numbers. And seriously, just eating all I want until I'm stuffed is totally working for me, as opposed to thinking about bigger caloric requirements. I had some bad problems in the beginning because I wasn't drinking enough water, but I fixed that fairly quickly and everything has fallen into place.
I think it's totally worth it to stick with it, and I'll answer whatever I can to help you!
Thanks for responding. Yeah the calorie issue is hard for me. I fight to make sure I keep my food in line. Lol well it's not a "fight" but I have moments where I have to remind myself WHY I'm doing this. Right now it's all I can think about. If I tried to eat that many calories I'd probably feel sick. I hit just over 2000 yesterday but that was a struggle. I started having detox symptoms too so I'm dealing with that. It's a journey and a process. I know that. And I really want this because I really want to feel better, heal my body and lose some weight.
