30 Bananas a Day!

This is an embarrassing topic, but… well, I’ve got to ask. Has anyone ever had any difficulties in having a BM (bowel movement) on the LFRV diet? If so, did anything help?
    I have always had a difficult experience with elimination, however, when I ate processed foods I was more regular than I am now. Despite feeling great about my decision to live LFRV, I’m really struggling in the elimination department. 5 days is toooooo long. I have no appetite, I also feel very uncomfortable. Please let me know if you have any tips or suggestions. Thank you!

P.S. I do exercise regularly, and have opted for a laxative when more then 5 days have passed.

When I first started LFRV they were inconsistant and horribly gassy/diahrrea after about a month things went to normal during the first month i had some solid BM's but it was not consistant. Now i usually go about 2-4 times a day im in and out of the bathroom in 4 minutes max most of the time less than that.

Are you eating all of your fruit when its ripe?
Do you eat many bananas?
Are you drinking 3-4Litres of water a day? 

I'm trying to eat more bananas and other fruit along with drinking more water. I just feel very full and unconfortable. At times these feelings leave me with no apetite. I don't always eat the ripest fruits, i do like the crunch of harder fruits like peaches and apples. Do you think this could be my issue? Eating more ripe fruits?

That's great you get regular exercise, that really does help! Definitely eat ripe fruit. What has really helped me also is eating lots of clementines/oranges. Make sure you also get plenty of water.

 

Sometimes people find bananas help with constipation, but others feel they bind things and make the stools firmer. I have found that citrus runs right through me, easy-peesy! SO you might try tilting towards pulpy citrus for a bit. Also, prunes may help. You could soak them and add them to a smoothie or snack on them. 

 

If you are fairly new to LFRV, then it may take a little while for your body to get used to processing real food, but it will, for sure!

 

I'm sure some others will chime in with good advice, hang in there! Well, maybe that's a bad word choice ;)  Maybe just stay strong, I'm sure things will even out for you!

I've skipped a day every now and then; usually if I forget to eat enough that day. It doesn't really bother me though, so I don't worry about it.

When I was at the hospital for diverticulitis, the pain medication they gave me was SOOOO welcome! But as soon as the really bad pain was past, I immediately weaned myself off the meds they sent me home with, I maybe took 1/3 of it. That stuff really slows the works down!

eat yours greens

eat oranges and bananas... oranges/citrus seem to make me want to poo... bananas help bind and bulk a bit, i think

 

i sometimes go a day without pooping and I HATE IT. i can't imagine going 5!!! Whoa!

Wonderful news!!!!!! Eating ripe fruit has done wonders for my digestion. In addition, drinking a smoothie with kiwii fruit, oranges, and bananas has helped with my elimination. I feel great!!!!!!! Thanks again to all of you  :)

all I can say is water water water! try drinkg 1-1.5 liters right when you wake up. This always helps me.
