I came across some packaged raw sugar cane at the store today and have been devouring it..Its so sugary sweet and and delicious. Im not sure if this is such a good idea, so I figured I would eat as much as I could stomach(not really)Than ask if this was a recommended practice.
No not sugar packets....Its actually 1 inch sugar cane stocks..sort of like little pieces of bamboo...I wouldn't eat sugar packs...but since its still in the "plant form" I figured it would be OK...its like if you cut down the stocks that are by your pad in Costa Rica and chewed on them while you were juicing them.
Oh neat, I never heard of them selling small pieces of the cane sticks. I would think that they would dry out and be super hard, but maybe they have found artificial or even natural methods to keep them fresh.
I like chewing on the raw bamboo-like cane sticks as well and I kind of get the feeling that if you keep chewing on the fiber long after the sweetness has gone it is kind of like a natural toothbrush... I might be way wrong on that, but I just get that feeling that chewing on those fibers can be good for scrubbing the teeth.
raw okra ?
i take it a few times from Indian/Sri Lankian Food Shop, but i cooked it. Not sure if i would eat it raw, the shop dont look Hygienical and not sure if i would eat it raw than. Thats no argument, fruits may be not that clean too, but i dont want eat raw than...
