I don't really do measurements but you cannot fail with these ingredients. Tomato soup for the win.
I fill my blender half way with tomatoes and then add 2 red peppers, I'll throw in a few more tomatoes on top and then add in approx 1 stalk of celery and half a lemon juiced. Blend it up and serve with chopped tomatoes and red peppers mixed in. Delicious!
Sounds good to me :) Thanks x
I mean red bell peppers. Apologies for any confusion, I'm British and when I say pepper I mean bell pepper!
This is a sweet soup we like, 6 mangoes, juice of 6 medium oranges, mix in the blender. Add whole raspberries over the top.
Good stuff :) Get rubbish mangoes here aswell will try them like this sounds lovely
Oh that's too bad about the mangoes! Don't eat them if they are unripe or rotten as they will not digest well and you won't get the nutrition or calories you are expecting. Wait for a better season on those.
An amazing "borscht" soup I came up with is:
Juice carrots, half a beet, half an orange, lemon/lime, celery
Pour this on top of finely diced cucumber and tomatoes
You could even put a blob of "sour cream" on top: Blend a hunk of peeled zuchini, a stalk of celery, lemon, and a tbs of raw tahini.
NUM! it's really good
1 stalk celery
1/2 lb. lettuce
pinch of cayenne
1 tablespoon tahini
(all blended into a stew)
I haven't tried it yet but found it listed on Victoria Everett's page. Looks good. Plus, I wanted to bookmark these other recipes on here for myself. Great topic!
Keep in mind that all hot peppers are extremely irritating to the lining of the digestive track, use with caution if you must, read more here: http://www.30bananasaday.com/notes/Ingredients_and_photos_not_suppo...
I've made this some time last year and it was amazing.
Depends what your views are on cashews though as strictly speaking cashews are never raw.
I tried a few raw soups and they didn't really do it for me. Tomato based ones do work though so I'd go for that. Or fruit soups. I'm not sure when a smoothie becomes a soup though or visa versa.
