I am just starting out on this lifestyle here in sunny South Africa where fruit grows a-plenty! I have been doing tons of reading, and I am very inspired! I have been eating about 80% fruit for the last week and I dropped 2kg already and my exercise recovery time has greatly improved after only a week :)
I love having banana smoothies, it fits in easily with my busy lifestyle and my work and I can drink them at my desk all day long if I wish. I have however been adding cinnamon and nutmeg spices to the smoothies and I wanted to know if this is a good idea or if I should work to cut it out and if so, why?
Hey! To be honest I have not heard of any negatives to eating a bit of cinnamon and nutmeg! If it helps you enjoy your bananas I say go for it! Congrats on your weight loss, wow. I generally eat banana/mango smoothies, perhaps I'll give the cinnamon and nutmeg a bash :-) I haven't quite got to mono eating for extended periods either, though generally I'll do it for my lunch and have a big salad for supper. But when you're transitioning I think you should just go easy on yourself, enjoy the ride and see where it takes you!
