I'm basically allergic to many, many, if not most, fruits at the moment--blah! :(
The list of fruits I can't/don't eat anymore at all now: apples, bananas, mangoes, any citrus fruits (grapefruits, oranges, etc.), pears, peaches, and nectarines. I'm so upset. What happened? I used to be able to eat all of these fruits just fine, but no longer am able to do so. Obviously, my best bet would be to heal the allergies so I can afford the diet. I mean, aside from dates, nothing cheap is left--and most things left I don't even like to eat. Perhaps I overdid the specific fruits in the past, and now it's coming back to hurt me?! Help!
Has anyone ever been able to heal their fruit allergies, until they can eat normal/30bad levels of the foods again in one sitting, maybe? How?! Please help, I'm just soooo upset, blah.
Perhaps I overdid fruits junk foods in the past, and now it's coming back to hurt me?!
Relax, your body will heal just give it time, of course get off the crap-phoods and live healthfully on a consistent basis from now on.
Nope, a year would not be enough to heal it on a fruit diet? Huhm. I'm betting it's the fact that I spent an entire summer OVEReating fruits or a specific type, particularly mangoes and the oranges and grapefruits, blah. But the weird thing is, I had no problems, then IMPROVED problems, and then it got worse and worse, blah.
You can't OVEReat fruit and you could live infinitely on bananas and lettuce only.
Did you hear a cow getting allergic to grass lol?
You get allergies from eating crap and living an unhealthy lifestyle in general, if you change that your body will heal itself eventually, it could take years though depending on the level of the abuse.
Rawbert, I think you're missing the point. When I began the fruit diet, there were no fruit allergies except bananas. In 5 months, my banana allergies went away, so I was happy. Then, a year later (actually on diet a few months over the year!), I began to have reactions to the mentioned fruits that developed in a month period. This doesn't make sense to me, at all. :/ And, to add to this, I have heard of other people having this problem, namely I believe mango himself.
mango skin is toxic and some people munch on it or too close to the peel that's it.
Rawbert, I know that, and don't do that. :) But thanks...
I do think Rawbert has an excellent point in that cows do not become allergic to grass, nor monkeys to their fruit, birds to seeds, etc.
I don not have first-hand experience to offer, I am lucky in having no fruit allergies.
Best way to heal I suggest, is a mono island on one fruit that you really enjoy + lettuce.
Yes Kate, mono island is a great idea.
Would you say the monodiet would need to be on the fruits I am allergic to? Because I did try that, but it made the reactions worse. Thank you for the advice, and I'm glad you have no problems with fruits.
No, no. Mono on fruit that you have no reaction to for a few days, then try others one by one, to find out which one you having the reaction to.
But again, I don't think it's the fruit this could be just detox.
What's your body's reaction when you eat the fruits mentioned above?
Various reactions, but mainly skin reactions (hives, extensive rashes on my legs that never touched fruit, etc.), breathing problems (suffocating, unable to draw breath, anaphylaxysis, etc.), or dry mouth that persists for days after consuming a particular fruit.
