30 Bananas a Day!

I ate 2.25 kg or 21 plums for dinner (1000+ Calories). As you might expect, I had to use the restroom shortly thereafter. My first stool was half formed stool and the second half was mush. I have had 7 diarrhea bowel movements since. Although this is a burden somewhat, I find it therapeutic/cleansing.

I have also had a similar response to tamarind. I sometimes eat about 400 Calories (1 pound of pods) and it cleans me right out. However, not as much as these plums...

What other foods provoke this reaction in you?

What do you think this means? Should we avoid/not eat that much of these foods?

Were they non-organic? I had over 70 plums a few days ago and over 60 today as well and had no such ill effects. I only eat organic ones. My best guess is something was not right with them so your body rejected them. Get them from a better source, make sure you eat them properly ripe, and you shouldn't have such problems.
I bought them at a farmer's market that I frequent. Perhaps I should inquire again on their organic status... Some/most of them were likely a little overripe...
How firm they are is my primary selection criteria when I'm picking out plums. I don't want ones that are all hard and don't want ones that are squishy either. Hard and they're not ripe yet and squishy and they're overripe and it's usually apparent visually inside too when you have overripe parts. Alcohol can cause diarrhea. If you were eating a bunch of overripe ones that had turned to alcohol that was probably what did it.

Tamarind on the other hand is said to be a natural laxative and probably just always has an ill effect. I don't eat tamarind and if it's giving you diarrhea you probably shouldn't eat it either.

The reason why I consider this reaction somewhat therapeutic is because I have gallstones. I hope I am passing them. I believe that I can get rid of them through 811rv. I have been 811 mostly raw vegan since 7 April (arguably even before then) and I have not had a gallbladder attack since. My last (second) attack was 14 March 2011 and my first attack was 26 February, three weeks apart. After my second attack, I did some research and determined that I was having gallbladder attacks. I got a sonogram on 14 April that verified my suspicion. I am scheduled for another sonogram at the end of July, but I may wait until my 5 month mark of no more attacks to get checked (15 August).
Organic or conventional makes no difference to me but I do find it hard to get really good plums.  I would only eat them a couple times over Summer
I think if you regularly eat non-organic you're less likely to have an adverse reaction like diarrhea to non-organic. Whereas if you always eat organic and then eat a lot of something that's non-organic your body is more sensitive and since it usually gets clean food and isn't being inundated with a lot of pesticides and the like it will more readily reject the meal.

Diarrhea is not a response to good clean food though. So if something is giving it to you best to stop eating it as something isn't right. And if it's a piece of fruit it's almost certainly a quality issue as opposed to something being inherently wrong with that type of fruit. Unless you have some digestion quirks/problems that inhibit proper digestion of some protein in the food or something like that.
I have been eating whole meals of cherries also with no problems, I can never seem to get enough of them.  My stopping point with cherries is when the bag is empty.
I have been eating whole meals of Santa Rosa plums, they are delicious and I have no problems afterward.
