I have noticed recently that people are starting to smell... unpleasant. It is not unclean body odor. I cannot put my finger or my nose on exactly what it is that I am smelling but I am noticing it more and more. Tonight I was in a large group of people and it was very noticeable to the point that I had to put a little distant between myself and the persons I was speaking to.
I am worried this is due to my fruit diet, that I can smell better. My youngest son came in to greet me right after he got home from school and I noticed that he smelled wonderful and sweet like bananas. This is the kid that is almost completely raw ( he eats SAD but more raw now than anything else.) He eats half of my bananas everyday. Now I am thinking if I can smell sweet bananas on him, I must be smelling the diet of other people now.
What to do? I have to go out in public.
Get used to it! We live in a world of filth. Thats why cologne and perfume are so popular.
yeah everyone has there own smell and some people that eat bad and never exercise smell bad and people that take care of themselvs smell good
I noticed that when I first went vegan. I've also noticed I smell sweeter since starting on bananas two weeks ago. It's hard to adjust when you notice that other people smell funny and there's nothing you can do about it!
How long did it take you to notice?
I have troubles with this when I'm in school. My classmates smell so bad. And the worst is when they start to eat their snack or whatever it is-full of cheese, hams and other stuff which smells really unpleasantly to me. I always put a distance between myself and them when we're talking. Gosh-why don't they eat just fruit, greens, nuts and seeds and smell so wonderful as I and other people on this diet do?
Ugh, I know. And then people chew gum because they think it masks the smell. So I'm smelling garlic PLUS fake mint on top.
I've always had a very sensitive sense of smell. Some people constantly smell of onions, or spices or anything pungent that they've eaten, but on the flip side I've become a perfume expert and enjoy the pleasant smells a little more than most.
Taste and smell improve when you're not overloading your senses with chemical flavour enhancers, so expect this improvement to stick around. It's not the fruit, it's just your clean palate.
Wait until you smell someone eating a packet of Doritos, it will turn your stomach.
+1 on the doritos hahahaha happened to me as well. i almost puked, seriously.
I've always been able to smell people who eat a lot of meat..yuk!
I have become even more sensitive and can smell when people are dehydrated, ill, or generally toxic=yuk!
I know how you feel! A recent date who otherwise great, smelled so much of meat and unfreshness it just couldn't go anywhere...and what do you say?????
I sympathise... humans seemingly smell not so good as a rule... Safi :-)
