30 Bananas a Day!

I am a Crossfit athlete and over the past couple of months I have been ignored by the majority of the coaches as soon as I mentioned I'm vegan. They are gearing up for the Whole 9 challenge right now and won't speak a word to me. Anyone familiar with that diet that would be able to provide some debunking research to defend myself with? It honestly sucks, theyre being completely rude. One lady even asked for my killer smoothie recipies but my coach interrupted saying you can't have that much fruit on the Whole 9 diet. T

Why associate with bullies and people who are rude?  They're rude because they're anti-veg paleos who need to believe vegan is bad for THEIR meat to be good.  They don't want to hear your truth.

Who cares what the coaches think.  Get your own results that you want.  I play hockey with a group of guys that will drink a few beers before and after games.  I don't drink and they accept that.  Do your own thing and  do it well, they will accept you.

make sure to challenge them to a 10km race after every practice and then tell them that they are carb deficient when they decline.

Are they doping on coffeine? I think that if you did that in the Olympics up until 2004 and they caught you, you would be out.

No offense but most of the Crossfit exercise i've seen on the internet are just bad form exercises...

And by the way, what exactly is Whole 9? If it is a diet that includes meat then you will have to prove yourself and smoke the competition. Otherwise, you will be ignored, unless you find an understanding coach. In case you are ignored, you might want to try some other sport with greater tradition. If you want to give everything, try kickboxing.

I think you mean caffeine? In that case, caffeine used to have a limit which was relatively high meaning that people only failed the test if they abused it. 3 or 4 coffee's or equivalent caffeine tablets weren't going to make a typical athlete go pos. Now days it's use is monitored, but you can't fail for it's presence at any level. 

Marko, I'm not a fan of Crossfit either. I agree with you -- It's dangerous.
