30 Bananas a Day!

I take subway to work.  Since I don't have time having breakfast at home,  I always bring both breakfast and lunch.  As I am eating more and more water-rich fruits, my bag is getting bigger and heavier every week.  Yesterday, I brought a lot of apples and peaches and my bag was really heavy.  People I see frequently on subway start to wonder what I was doing... (grocery shopping in the early morning?)  What do you bring to work for lunch?  Any idea how I can take water-rich fruits to work?  (I like peaches and watermelon much more than bananas.)

I usually just take dates to school and mono-meal. Maybe you can try making smoothies and pack a few bottles. You'll save some weight as you only get the actual edible part, so you might save a pound or something similar to that depending on the fruit.

Is there a market near your work?

I'm lucky and have a Whole Foods only a few blocks away. This get's me off my ass to find the freshest fruit!

My old job had a Farmers market near it and I use to stock up and put it in a bag in the work fridge with my name on it.

Don't let it get you down though! Carrying fruit is one of humankind's oldest workouts =)

A bottle of young coconut water works great. Fresh dates and cucumbers are fairly light too. Otherwise you are pretty much stuck with a pre-work workout!
Thanks for the advices.  I am so jealous of those people can get fruits from a market.  There are only junk food chain near my office.  I will try date and lighter fruits.

My lunch at work is a giant green smoothie!  I take it in 1 L Nalgene bottle.  If that's not enough, take two!  Or take a few fruits to supplement it! (Dates are a great calorie rich option!)

Peace, Love and Fruit

A suitcase with wheels! I am not kidding. I work 12-36 hours at a time. Load it up. Roll it in. You can also pack a cooler on wheels.
I usually make a large smoothie in the morning and bring that to work.  I also bring some whole fruits to make another smoothie at work with our magic bullet.  (I have to make it in several batches because the magic bullet is so small, but it works).

i eat dinner at work, so it's totally different, but I like to bring salad or chopped up fruits in one of these http://lifewithoutplastic.com/boutique/set-of-4-large-stainless-ste...

sometimes i will bring a smoothie in a mason jar (6-8 cup size)
