30 Bananas a Day!

This month I bought a case of Organic Bananas ($34.04 vs $20 for a case of non-organic). I thought I'd try it to see if I could feel a difference while eating organic. But here is what I noticed first.... There is no comparison between the taste of organic and non-organic!!! These bananas taste AMAZING !!! What in the world are those other things I've been eating??? They do NOT taste like these !!! Has anyone else noticed the MAJOR difference in taste? WOW !!!

Really depends on the quality of the produce. The organic bananas I've tried in Germany were for the trash. Properly ripened conventional bananas can live up to a good taste standard just as much.

Yep I agree!

What brand were they?  Where I live, the main organic bananas are Dole, I think, and they taste just the same as any conventional to me.  Sucks.

@dangernouse (cute name BTW LOL)... The Organic brand I bought was Chiquita. The Non-organic I bought the case of was also Chiquita. NO comparrison. They don't even taste like the same fruit. But what's WORSE is Dole !!! They are only 38 cents per pound here but I won't buy them again. They are awful. The only banana that's worse is what Walmart sells. Some weird off brand that is the absolute worst banana I ever ate. I threw them away after the first one. YUCK !!!

Yes there is definitely a taste difference between organic and conventional bananas. In fact, there is a difference with most fruit, and it's fairly easy to tell the difference in a blind taste test.

Thanks to all of you who replied. When I first bought this case of Organic I was very upset. A $14 dollar jump per case was hard for me to swallow. BUT... now that I know what a REAL banana tastes like I just can't go back to non-organic !!! I don't yet know how they will make me feel but I can tell you that the taste alone is worth it. Organic Chiquita. I'm hooked !!! NOW 30 bananas a day will be (and taste better than) a piece of cake !!! YUM !!! This has encouraged me to try other organic fruits and vegetables !!!

In UK I found the taste of organic to be the same as non-organic

Word up on that one!!!!

It seems to me as though they might be injecting the bell with insecticide when it first comes out... Who knows what is in our bananas! Working on a biodynamic banana farm myself I can surely say there is a massive difference in health! On a cellular level the banana plants I work with a nurtured by nature with minimal human interference. These plants are strong, healthy a far more resistant to disease and the result is the fruit realizes its full potential in flavour! Healthy soil, healthy plant, high vibing fruit! http://www.treeinjectors.com/html/banana.html ?

In smoothies I don't notice the difference so much, but one thing I have seen is that eating the fruit as it comes it's a lot easier for me to keep munching organic bananas. When I chow down on conventional (which I pretty much don't get at all anymore) I was starting to gag a little after 1 or 2, even with very small bites.
