30 Bananas a Day!

this just in from sangeeta who has returned to canada after a visit to india where she helped some ar groups through her superb photography and media skills:

it's only .6%, but that's huge in actual numbers over 60 000 000!
more importantly, it is a reversal of the trend despite an increase of the pop.

a contributing factor is undoubtedly the veg movement - one shining pinnacle of which is 30bad!

Ahhhhh that is great!!!!!
that's awesome! i read an article that was saying it was expected to go down this year.. can't remember the % they speculated, though.
That's the best news I've heard today!
mtv, hannah and chris,

it is very good news because it is the first reversal i can recall.
presently it's small change, but that's how you start to build up a fortune.

Booh yeah! :)
What an inspiring fact to contemplate.

Sometimes the wrongness in the world seems so overwhelming... then suddenly an unexpected spark of light!

Thanks for this, Pradt, you've made day.
then i am glad amy.
may there be many more such 'made' days for you and the animals!

I don't mean to rain on anyone's parade, but It's worth mentioning that we're in the middle of a rather severe recession. This is likely affecting eating habits.
Hmmm, you could be right, Andrew...

But I doubt if the reason why matters much to the animals that don't have to suffer.

It's still a lot less pain unleashed out in the world.
