30 Bananas a Day!

Hi everyone!

I haven't had any overt fats for about 7 months - and I feel wonderful. :)

I was wondering if anyone else is doing this? And your thoughts on it?

Considering you look fabulous, I think your word is worth listening to :) This might seem like a really basic question, but I'm assuming you consider avocados to be an overt (how about coconut?) and do you completely cut out nuts and seeds?


I'd love to try it but I keep wondering if too little fat will lead to things like my period stopping, etc.

(Random side note, I finished my MA at Georgetown in '10, I so wish I'd known another LFRV while I was there because it was definitely a lonely road at the time :)

I don't eat avacados, cocunuts, nuts or seeds, but I eat a TON of fruits and veggies. I had 5,500 calories today! :)

I've been getting my period still, and nothing bad at all has happened with my health, I've only gotten healthier/more fit! So no worries :), but everyone is different.

The longest I've gone without overts is 2 weeks, after that I start craving them badly no matter how many fruit cals I eat. But the times I go without the fats I feel very very good- light and energetic and clear thinking, and my skin really glows.
I was actually wondering about this too (so thanks for "bumping" it up again RFG). I have noticed that after having an avocado in a day (still within 811 ratio even eating the whole avo) I feel pretty sluggish (digestive wise) the next day.
I think I could do with cutting them out but I really like them! I'll have to be strong and eat piles of fruit! I might try the zucchini thing too... Great idea!

zucchini is really great for cutting my cravings for anything, I just have a HUGE bowl of zucchini pasta with like 7 zucchini spiralized up :)
Wow that's awesome!!! 7 zuke's!!! I thought 2-4 would do the trick! I guess if that's not enough I'll try 7! I'm very impressed that you can do 5500 cals a day! I'll definately have to try overt free so I can have more room for the sweet fruit cals! I feel so crappy today (stupid tasty avo!) so I'm not going to eat any overt fats and see how long I can go without! I'll let u know.

Oo, cucumber, that's a good idea! I definitely can't do the zucchini, I don't know why but raw zucchini makes me really ill (nausea, bloating, and what not). I love the pasta idea though, so it's a bummer!

definitely do the cucumber pasta! you can also use big carrots or yellow squash :)
And now I know what to make for dinner :) Can't wait! Who says LFRV eating can't be fun...
