Since I went raw vegan 3 months ago I have been using a cheap, 20 year old, Oster blender. When ever I used it, the blender would have to work so hard to blend simple things. After a couple minutes it was so loud, it sounded like it was going to take flight!! I finally had enough and went on a search for a better blender. I was on a budget so I could never afford a Vitamix. I found the Ninja Professional blender. It has 1000 watts of power and a 72 oz BPA free pitcher. The blender has 4 spinning s-blades that pulverize food instantly. It is only $99!!! I got it at Target for $89. I have never actually used a Vitamix, but I have seen plenty of demos of it and I think the Ninja is a great substitute for the Vitamix for someone who is on a budget. I just made banana ice cream today, and I didn't have to add any water or room temp bananas and it turned out exactly like soft serve! It made me fall in love with banana ice cream all over again! I would totally recommend this blender. So check it out :)
Nice. Keep us updated if you stay just as happy with it over the long haul.
That's a great price point that most folks should be able to handle.
Also good for those who want two, such as for an office setting.
What's the shaft thing in the middle?
i got the ninja 1200 watt model witht he food processor etc.. and the individual cups. I've since used a vitamix. not even in the same league. I wish i had a vitamix i regret spending the money on the ninja but i couldnt afford a vitamix still cant GRRR. It works for now but if you do havet he money dont settle just get the vitamix.
If i use the individual cups i can blend dates smooth or anything really but there too small. I have to do batches and thats a pain. The larger pitcher sure for banans its ok but if you want something really smooth you'll never get it. It leaves apple peals leaf chunks and date chunks. Granted I dont always want things incredibly smooth but sometimes i do and I cant get them that way with this blender.
Its certainly better then the 600watt black and decker I used before IONS better but still far from an end all be all.
Ninjas aren't my fave option, but it does most of the work. Usually my smoothies with berries are filled with seeds which I don't mind since I enjoy the crunchy texture, but using spinach/kale will still have bits of leafy pieces in which ruins the smooth smoothie texture most of the time:P But it's worth it, I bought it on sale too and can't complain too much about it.
I thought you were going to bash Ninja :l 'Cheap' has negative connotations >.> But yeah, Ninja is greeeaaattt!
I love mine. the price is right.
1-pulse function sucks. pretty much useless. Worse pulse function than a weaker blender.
2-not anywhere near the blending power of a vitamix from what I've seen in pictures and videos. In other words, I rarely do green smoothies with mine
Not sure if I would spend the money again, I'll have to try my old oster and compare. Either way me and my Ninja are best friends and it's definitely powerful
Only blender that comes close to Vitamix is Blendtec. I'm getting a Vitamix, this Black Friday! :D
Yeah, Ninja was kind of tempting, but imo Vitamix is worth the wait in saving up for!
