I'm not sure it's worth the extra money, here is an article on how it's made:
Also, I listened to a talk some time ago by a vit. D researcher who explained why the idea was spread that D2 was not as effective as D3 and that the idea is false, he says D2 is just as effective. http://www.30bananasaday.com/video/sunshine-vit-d-supplements
That vegsource info is about a different supplement by Garden of Life....
This supplement is vegan society approved.
Thanks for posting this link Hylas. I am thrilled that someone has finally come up with a truly vegan vitamin D3 supplement. I will be buying this for myself and recommending it to all of my clients from now on.
Cool! It seems that it is not currently available in mainland Europe, so someone sent me this alternative until it is available:
... is this the one you and Ednshell are saying is not good?
Don Bennet has provided information on the superiority of d3, but I have not ordered it because it is not vegan. I tend to trust his info about products but don't want to make that sacrifice. If the one at the above link is not good I will ship the spray to the UK and get it mailed over to me.
I bought 3 bottles of vitashine, which i started last week. Tastes delicious....it actually tastes of nothing but its sort of creamy at the same time :o)
I will update in a couple of months.
Thanks Adam and Hylas,
I'm still getting sun here in the mid U.S. but am about ready to start supplementing, I would love to know what you think about the vitashine when you make your decisions.
Thanks much! :)
