Ok i need my greens but i just cant eat them as a salad. They taste to bad so i have to make a smoothie out of them.
My green intake should be minimum 200g spinach and 100g lettuce a day.
So can i make all this in one smoothie or do i need 2 smoothies?
And also the important thing, i need to make it taste good so i have to use some fruit in the smoothie so it tastes good.
Can anyone please give me some great smoothie recipes wich include alot of greens but some fruits to make them taste great?
Thanx a lot :D
Also share any other good methods of getting the greens in :D
Green smoothies are great.
I personally like the mild greenies like romaine, most any lettuce, spinach, etc.
Mixed with grapes to taste, this goes down smooth :)
I also dig a savory stew periodically, with something like spinach, bell peppers, cilantro, cauliflower and tomatoes. Blend and mixed with various chopped veg of choice for texture. You can also spoon it into romaine "tacos" to painlessly squeeze in even more greens.
Ok drop the celery. How much grapes do you have to use to make 300gram spinach taste good in a smoothie? and how much water?
Hmm that stew didnt sound lovely to eat thow :p since it was nothing sweet there :)
nope, the latter isn't sweet--note the term "savory"
Celery? You decide whether to drop it or not. I blend that too sometimes, the leftovers I haven't munched.
I don't measure my greens like that so I couldn't say how much 300g is. Starts with a bunch of grapes and gradually reduce until you're at a level you can handle. Or keep the grapes high for the carb count, your call
How much spinach, water and banana/dates are u using?
I need the details so i dont screw up :D
lots of bananas and greens
mangoes and greens
orange juice and greens
spinach, mango, pineapple
spinach, banana, date
spinach, orange, cherry
spinach, apple, celery, carrot
spinach, pineapple, orange blended and then grapes add in after (soup)
spinach, strawberry, blueberry
spinach, peach, cherry
I could go on and on and on
It's not that technical, Super. Not like baking.
The first time, start with the fruits, which will obviously taste great alone or together, and add a small amount of greens. Sample. Let it ride or add more. Your own taste is king!
