I just have dreadlocks, so I don't know if this is helpful. I just wash it, and in the winter I dry it. I don't know about much else, other than interlocking the roots every other month or so. I don't use products. I haven't put a chemical on my hair in almost 8 years (besides my natural shampoo from the health food store).
at the moment, i will only buy shampoo and conditioner from the health food or organic stores, i try to get ones that contain minimal and healthy plant based ingredients. im currently using sukin purifying shampoo and protein conditioner. its good and smells nice. i only need to wash my hair twice a week currently because it doesnt get oily as often but only because of the minimal fat in my diet i think.. im thinking about making my own shampoo and conditioner but i have heard that leaving coconut oil in your hair is great for killing any lice or whatever and can restore hair strands etc... theres heaps of info if you google :)
dreadlocks:) No brushing or soaps or conditioners or chemicals required!
i'm looking for a decent shampoo for my hair. My hair is naturally very oily and fine so I do need to get some volume into it by shampooing!
I have tried a variety of methods, including 'Bronners soap' which left it flat and oily feeling. I'll try apple cider vinegar today, but I fear that will leave my hair stinking.
Honestly, I will NOT let it just go because it will be disgustingly oily and drab so I'm hoping someone can suggest some decent chemical free vegan products for hair care?
