I'm Aileth and I come from Portugal. Recently me and my boyfriend just moved to the Netherlands. I'm still pretty new at this style of living and am a little nervous about the food that is available/where to get it here.
I haven't had the chance to see the farmers market, the supermarket section for fruits and vegetables is quite small compared to what I was used to. Is there a larger variety of fruits and vegetables at markets and can you get good deals there?
I still have a long way to go when it comes to the language/culture, so any tips on how not to be rude to people will be very much appreciated.
Also, I'd love to meet people here and make new friends!
Place your scream in the the Netherlands & Belgium Group.
They will reply don't worry.
Tell them where you live. If you live in Amsterdam it will be no problem to find something. I buy a lot of things at the Turkish store you will find in the bigger place. You can make good deals with these people.
I found out the Group after posting this, I'll definitely get a bonus card for the supermarket.
We're living in Zeist, so far I found out there's a market on thursdays/saturdays.
Thanks for the tips!
