Hello, I have eaten only mono meals since the first of this year. (Almost 6 months straight now) and it's fantastic!

It's not necessary to eat this way 100% of the time of course, however, I think that the more that you eat this way the better, and I doubt very seriously at this point that I will ever go back to non-mono eating.

For me personally it was a situation where when I first went raw I would make smoothies that had a dozen or more ingredients in them and I would use everything from seaweed to cacao in my smooties. (I called them "Grey Smoothies" back then because that's what color they would usually be when I used that many different ingredients.) I then started to educate myself on food combining and I realized that I felt a lot better if I only used 2 or 3 ingredients, and then I started to appreciate the taste of fruits and vegetables so much that rather than blending celery and bananas together I found that I prefered to eat the bananas and the celery as 2 separate meals.

In the past I never would have wanted to eat a meal of something like "Just Tomatoes" for example, but today I feel like I'm in heaven when I'm doing it, and the thought of "Spicing them up" with this or that just doesn't feel right to me right now.

P.S. I usually eat 3 really big high calorie fruit meals and 2 smaller meals of vegetables or low calorie fruits for snacks. If I was only eating 3 meals a day, much less 2 or 3 it might be a bit of a challenge, but the 3 big meals and 2 snacks seem to allow me to get a decent variety throughout the week.
I would never be able to monomeal on tomatoes, either--or any culinarily defined veggies, for that matter! :) However, I can easily eat monomeals of sweet fruits (except obviously bananas, to which I am unfortunately allergic...I know, ugh, right? xP), and even sometimes of sub-acidic fruits. Maybe try those first instead?
thanks for the tips
