I take xanax (a benzodiazapine akin to valium) for severe anxiety induced insomnia. Every time I try to stop taking it I end up in the hospital with severe anxiety and not having slept in 3 or 4 days. The problem is that this medication causes intense food cravings. Worse than potheads! I crave ritz crackers to the point that I can't stop thinking about them and I have to eat them. Other than the 5 or 6 crackers a night I'm completely 100% raw. I'm wondering if there's a raw food that would satisfy my cracker craving so I can go the full 100% raw? Or is this just something that will work itself out as my body and tastes simply cease to crave this. In other words should I just indulge and be patient until the desire fades? I have noticed that the less strict I was and the more i allowed myself to go at my own pace, i started making the right choices without feeling forced. I don't want the foods I used to crave when I first adopted this diet. Has anyone else had an issue with that one last food they just couldn't part with? How did you get past it? Thanks so much everyone!
