My doctor recently received my blood test results and she tells me that I am dangerously low in protein. My nails are long and strong and I feel quite fit. Is there such thing as an 'ideal' protein level?
very clear, only to say that it was 4. something when I was plain old vegan and that that was okay, but now it is only 1.4 or something. I also asked her if it was measured by the excess protein being released and if that was really a clear way to know that I didn't have enough and she mentioned it being measure by urea in the blood...
I was tested because I haven't menstruated in over a year and they have found big hormonal oddities that I have been referred to a specialist over. It is all very scary and I don't want to ignore something that might render me unable to get pregnant etc later on, yet I don't want to buy into allopathic medicinal bullshit either.
I dont know if you ever heard this but no menstruation is a good sign. There have been olympic female athletes that do not menstruate. I even wrote a research paper in collleg and found that women in ancient Hindu civilisation did not menstruate. Women with heavy menstruation usually have poor S.A.D. diets
It can actually be a sign of ill health or health. Depends on the diet, body fat % and specific circumstances. For example, many female athletes have very low body fat % and thats why they dont menstruate, but it can be unhealthy as it can cause infertility.
