30 Bananas a Day!

Hi all,,

My boyfriend has been plagued by anger issues his whole life. Recently, he got into a skirmish with our roommate who called the cops, blah blah blah skip to he's got a plea hearing and trial for a first-time felony as well as misdemeanor coming up in the near future.

A person who can't control his anger isn't who either of us wants him to be,, especially considering that he's got a kid on the way. Since the incident he's been buckling down trying to change, signing up for anger management classes and such.

I recently recalled that I'm pretty sure I've heard or read of a low-fat vegan diet being used to address anger issues/emotional control in individuals. Something about the steroids and hormones in meat exacerbating aggression.

I'm pretty sure there was also a case of a private jail that fed inmates a vegan or lowfat vegan diet that had the lowest re-incarceration rate in history?

I just feel like between anger management classes and being willing to change his diet to change his life (which so many people are hesitant to do even to save their own lives), and being a first time offender gives him a good chance to not walk away from this with a felony.

My question is two-fold: First of all, is there anybody on here who has gotten results "treating" an anger problem with low fat veganism, or knows of anybody who has? (Additionally, what difference could we expect experimenting with LFRV versus simply LFV?)

Second of all, if anybody knows where to find the literature/data that I'm vaguely referring to a few paragraphs above I would be so appreciative if you could share a link with me.

How old were you when you began transitioning towards veganism?

Hi Kati,

In Brazil some people - especially the elderly - use passion fruit juice and passion flower teas to calm people's nerves. It's old school medicine, it might work on your boyfriend.

I don't know all the science behind it but it sure helped me with my anger issues! Animal products contain estrogen and all kinds of nasty stuff that drives the human body crazy! Not to mention when you eat too much fat and don't get enough glucose to the brain you're going to be all over the place!
