I just harvested some blackberries (or black raspberries) in my backyard (yum!) but I noticed some tiny little whitish yellowish bugs crawling on them...not eating them....just crawling. I don't really want to eat them for obvious reasons, even though I have inevitably probably eaten some already.
Another website recommended soaking the berries in salt water or water with a bit of vinegar, then rinsing real well to get the salt/vinegar off...since salt and vinegar are non-80/10/10 foods, is it okay if I do this? If not..what do you recommend?
just rinse them if you really mind. i don't ever notice bugs so i just eat them once i pick them, haha
i've been pickin blackberries too, sometimes the bugs are on them but just fly/fall off right when i go to pick it. heck, i've eaten some that clearly some other little critters already had a snack out of, but i eat them all and i'm still ok :)
