30 Bananas a Day!

Is there a list of good movies to watch that support this lifestyle?

I saw Supersize Me a couple years ago and that kind of got me interested in eating healthier.

I watched Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead recently.  Really good, but I don't know if I want to invest in a juicer...I'd rather eat the whole fruit or veggie.

Then there's Forks Over Knives, which I haven't seen yet but it's ordered and on the way.

Any others I should look into?

I'm new here, so I apologize if this has been asked before, and if so can you point me in the right direction?

Thanks a bunch!  :)

Good question!

Food inc

Forks overs knives - definitely!! Everyone must watch!

Home - a doco about planet earth, not exactly inspiring in terms of food to eat but inspires one to make better judgements about what they are doing to the environment

Earthlings - i havent seen it yet but i hear its very eye opening!

i'm sure there's more!

I've tried on two occasions to watch Earthlings. I couldn't get through the whole thing. The first time was with my wife who wanted it turned off before me. The second time, I was home from work "sick" (headache due to lack of sleep) and it made me sick to my stomach (not puking, but just very unsettled). It was just so sad and brutal. I can watch some pretty violent entertainment flicks ("Song of Ice and Fire" anyone?) but this just hit me to my core. I think knowing it was real made it all the worse, because I know that these things happen every day all over the planet.

As much as I don't want to watch this film again, I think everyone else should try and watch it once - -just be prepared.

To anyone who has watched: Is there anything at the end that is profound? I might skip ahead and try and catch that part...

I wouldn't skip through to the end.  it's the kind of thing where you really need to watch the whole thing to get the wealth of information because they talk about leather, milk, fur, etc.  But if u can't watch some scenes, just fast forward a bit.  Keep in mind that you're going to end up more educated and more aware than the majority of people out there, that you can help animals in some way after watching it. :)

Oh I did a whole bunch of fast forwarding...I was pretty far in on my second attempt.

Actually, I was just thinking about how far I got into the movie, and remembering the unsettling images. Horrible stuff we humans are capable of.

Just finished watching Food Inc.  Thanks again for the suggestion!  It was quite eye-opening for me.  I'm looking forward to watching more of the films that everyone has suggested here.

I second what has been said so far! I would also add Beutiful Truth and The Real Dirt on farmer John.  The second is more of a fun watch.

dying  to have known is a good one. Its from the same guy that did beautiful truth

The Gerson Miracle and Going Further (although this one is about high fat raw, but still interesting/entertaining)

The Beautiful Truth

SuperCharge ME! ( rawfood documentary of supersize me)

Planeat

Earthlings ( five stars for this! )

Food Matters

Simply Raw: Reversing diabetes in 30 days

FOod inc.

The Sacred Duty

King Corn

THE WORLD ACCORDING TO MONSANTO

:) Watched all of this! very informative.

I think Food Matters is a great first documentary to show people how food affects health.  It doesn't go specifically any specific dietary paradigm, which is good for people who don't really know anything.  Just ignore David Wolfe :/

Great list of movies, something more to watch and learn :D

Earthlings is definitely one of the best, just watched half of it and no wonder meat eaters totally avoid those, they have no courage to face the truth.
