I've been eating HUGE amounts of leafy greens for the last year but I cannot say that I got bore with them yet.
I discovered valerianella (cornsalad) and rucola any many other varieties that are delicious.
Make a green smoothie (water, greens of your choice with fruit or fruits of your choice). Green smoothies are the solution to my greens problem.
My experience: since I totally drop me I've feeling better and better..
just my 2 cents
I really try to think of greens as one of my staples - even though not a significant source of calories, a significant source of minerals. But sometimes I go a day or so without any. I love celery and probably eat 4 bunches a week and count that in with my greens. This time of year when I can't get high quality fresh greens I buy organic (or not) mixed greens mixes and put them in smoothies. Another way I like eating greens is to make a chunky dip (i.e. avadado, tomato, celery, mango chopped together) and fill romaine leafs, yum.
I love celery too! Never thought of it as green . Thank you. BTW, how would you count a bunch as greens? Is it like one head of lettuce?
I weighed it up once and entered in on cronometer and don't quite remember but I believe a half bunch was about a pound. I try to think of greens as getting one pound in daily. Celery certainly helps me with that quota.
Its a rare month when Freelee or myself eat greens on a daily basis. We prolly would if you could get quality greens in Australia as easily as you can in the US.
