30 Bananas a Day!

Hello-

I have been eating low fat raw vegan for the past month and my period is late. (There is no possibility that I could be pregnant.) I lost about 5 pounds at first, but in the past week I have gained weight & gotten acne. I figure it is because my period is about to start. I keep waiting for it to come but it is not coming! This is very frustrating, especially because of the weight gain and acne.

(I have been vegan for about 12 years, veggie for 20 years, and started eating low fat about 2 months ago. I started eating low fat raw after I did watermelon island and it was super easy! (I think the hot wether has definitely helped it feel so easy.)

Has anyone else had experience with this?

I'm sorry your period is late and you have spots :( Maybe the spots are a sign of your period coming ? 

I know how you feel, I didn't have my period for 9 months.  I was eating mostly green vegetables and oats.  I realized that I needed more fuel.

Do you think you are getting enough calories in a day?

Everyones body is so different, maybe your body is just adjusting to the change.  Try to stick with it, hopefully your body will find its natural rhythm again.
