One of my staples in my 100% 80-10-10 diet is Papaya. I can
get them sometimes at 88 cents/lb. I am known to buy a dozen
at a time. (The huge ones - some weighing 10-15 lbs).
Anyway, some of them get moldy as they ripen, which I don't
mind as I wash and peel the areas carefully that got that
way. My issue is that the moldy/raw areas of the fruit are
attracting fruit bugs and I now have an infestation of them
in my home.
I looked online for ANY idea on maybe a bag that I can put
around them when they are ripening (I found one for
prolonging the life of bananas!) but found none for helping
to guard my papayas.
Please, ANY tips, tricks, hints, products, ideas, appreciated
