30 Bananas a Day!

OK... so pretty much 8 weeks in (WOOT!) and I am super stoked. But I do not care for greens or non-sweet juicy fruits.

My days are full of bananas, mangoes, oranges, dates , kiwis and grapes... and I look at greens and literally go "blerrrghh" , anything more than 2-3 cherry toms and I am over it completely etc.

Now, I perhaps do not need them at this point as they seem very unappealing, perhaps I have an overload of junk in my body that needs to be regulated first, should I try to push some in, or just let my body do the talking and wait for them to become appealing?

But, what if i 'never' want them, should i be cautious and if so what should I do to compensate for lack of greens?

.... and can I assume that all the boxes are ticked in terms of your energy and fitness and overall sense of well being without them ?

I don't want to be neglecting something that would be so easy to remedy, if you catch my drift.

i'd say don't worry about it for now.. i didn't eat anything other than sweet fruits for over a month while i traveled through asia and i felt fantastic.. a little while after returning home i started to really enjoy vegetables again and they've been reintroduced seamlessly.. you'll be great
don't ever push them in Carrie, if you don't feel like greens or non-sweet fruits then don't have them, as long as you are getting sufficient amounts of sweet juicy fruits I feel you will be meeting your health requirements just dandy :)

This may shock some but I rarely eat greens, maybe once a month...it's all about large mono meals of sweet fruit for me, although I do like a few garden-grown organic baby greens on the occasion

you have let me relax a lot over this subject.

As it stands, I am naturally drawn to mono meals, i really don't like to combine too much. The only thing i would combine is banana and mango in a morning smoothie, i find it too delish and i feel GREAT afterward. Then everything else is just filling me up on one fruit until im done. I like it better this way, savoring the fruit on its own.

If you are in good tune with your body instincts, which sounds to me like you are, then listen to those. Raw mono foods that you find unappealing should not be eaten, as your body through your senses is signaling that it does not want them. The raw mono foods that your body finds appealing on the other hand contain nutrients that your body does need right now (by the way, there exist studies on animals that confirm this). But do not get stuck on a pattern, be open to testing the food and choosing what's appropriate based on this. Your taste for foods can be a daily-changing phenomenon.
