I'd really like to know if there are whole villages etc. who have bananas as their staple. I've never travelled outside of Europe (I live in the Netherlands). I know there are loads of countries who have starches as their staple, but I'm wondering about the fruit staples.
So anyone? Any ideas?
I understand that bananas are a dietary staple in Jamaica, and the infamous Jamaican olympian and runner Yohan Blake claims to eat at least 16 bananas a day.
You might find islands in the Carribean area where bananas and fruits are dietary staples. I might not call them 100% raw vegan/fruitarian, but high raw.
Thanks you guys. This is really nice to read! I will look in to the given information.
