got a blender?
i use a citrus press.
i do have a champion collecting dust... but i wouldn't want to hock it on a 811er
I have a really cheap old blender that has trouble blending oranges well...I tried making juice with it once by straining but it was near impossible.
Thanks for the tip though! I hear it works well with a vitamix and a cheesecloth or fine colander.
Lol is it because the champion doesn't work well? I hear it spins too fast so juice is often hot and it is hard to work with?
i like my champion, its a great juicer for romaine.
i just keep the blade in the freezer and it doesn't heat anything up.
of course i also have a greenstar and like it too, but it doesn't juice romaine as well as champion.
I actually just got a new juicer (Philips HR1861)
And I just finished put my little manual Z-star in the cupboard where it will start collecting dust.
It's a Z-star manual juicer:
If you are interested let me know.
I got a new one because the manual one is fun, but with an electrical one it's easier and quicker to make larger amounts of juice.
You can perfectly juice hard vegetables like carrots with the Z-star, but it is a little bit of work.
I had bought the Z-star because I wanted to try out juicing without buying a really expensive machine.
Now I'm getting more serious about juicing :)
