30 Bananas a Day!

I decided to leave regular college after the end of spring semester 2011 (this next semester) to travel and study instead with the University of Natural Health because the courses sound so amazing and interesting and I want to have the credentials necessary to help people and have them listen (although being a shining living example of what I teach will be the most important thing of course). Conventional college life just really doesn't suit me. I feel sort of trapped in a sense...like I am waiting to live my life the way I want to and pursue my passions (art, singing, music, writing, nutrition, health, fitness, helping people/animals/planet, all things creative)

I love to learn and I want to know all about human physiology/biology and how it is affected by nutrition. Although of course the most significant thing is feeling what works.

I recently enrolled to get my BS, MS, and PhDs in holistic nutrition and natural health and healing as well as my Naturorthopathic Doctorate and HD (to be hygiophysician)

Does it make sense to do this or is it something that was sort of made up and not recognized by possible employers/clients/society....???

Yes I'd like to know how Bristol did. I'm currently enrolled inUNH. I'm enjoying the courses.

I'm also really interested in the courses here. Would love to here more personal accounts of current/ past students and their experiences.  Has it been worth while and the quality of the courses all you hoped for?  Thanx in advance.

Lucky, you offered to help and Dr. Fanny refused it?  Did he comment at all?  They said they would take you to court if you refused to pay the rest? They only send the books for each courseload when the previous is done - so how are they out any money if you quit?  Oh brother!!  How disappointing.  This bothers me to hear.

I had been looking at training with them but not so sure now as they are an unaccredited organisation and any of their degrees are not proper..

Here is a list of unaccredited 'universities'.  I think that if a proper formal qualification is important to you (and in this day and age i agree, particularly as you want to get insurance working with clients).

They DO NOT work with you or Train you.  It is like home study.  You read the book and answer questions and send in tests.  There is NOT a lot of interaction from the school and the student.  You do the reading, answering questions on paper, but that is basically it.  The books are good books overall.  But there may be more helpful interactive schools to choose from.

Does anyone know if this worked out for Bristol?? I'm thinking about UNH and I'd love to talk with her about her experience!! :)
If I had it to do over again I would not have wasted the money. It's not the best program. They use books that now current science shows that are not correct. And they use Doug Graham's books. I've appreciated Doug in many ways. But he's not a medical doctor. And he's come under question recently for inappropriate practices with his water fast retreat. If I had it to do over again, I would do the program with Cornell associated with Colin Campbell. And the fire engine diet training. These are plant based vegan. Don't waste your money or time on this.

Hi Joni

The Cornell program with Dr Campbell looks awesome!

Just check the lecturers at the bottom of this page!

Thanks for sharing!

Just do youtube.

I don't understand why any 16-25 year old female would study in todays world with youtube being a FAR better and easier way to make an impact and an incredible income.

Do you mean like making videos where we tear people apart and make fun of them.  You know, rudely swear and use vulgar language to put people down and talk about them?  Is that the worthwhile, income making  you are speaking of?  Just curious!
