30 Bananas a Day!

hi fruitbats! 

im a newbie and loving this lifestyle and so excited to share this lifestyle with my friends and families but they are all freaking out about the sugar! i read 801010 and understand that sugar only causes problems when your blood is full of fat but would like some scientific reading to back it up and to help me explain it to all my paleo friends and family. please help! tell me what to read or watch on youtube!

refined sugars added to most processed foods..YES

juicing..where the pulp(fiber) is removed from the fruit as in most processed commercial fruit juices..YES

eating 15 bananas , 3 apples, half of a watermelon, a lb of cherries either solo or in a smoothie..NO

watch freelee, durianriders, rawkristina on youtube or just google the importance of eating the fiber when you consume fruit

excellent explanation - you saved me a lot of typing w/ this one! :)) read up about the rice diet that Kempner did back in the day- he fed his severly ill  hypertensive patients with sugar, fruit juice, fruit and white rice and they all dropped massive amount of weight, got healthier and stronger! so sugar for the win - only try to choose organic sugar whenever you can just so you avoid unneccessary chemicals :)

I wish I had all this information organized, but 2 main arguments are

1) Fruits are essentially the best source of fiber, which according to authorities prevents diabetes and causes fat loss.

2) I think durianrider identified Uganda as the top banana eating country, and of course they have no obesity or diabetes or heart disease.

The book 801010 I think has the other scientific evidence.

It's a sad day when Americans can't differentiate between bananas and cookies.

Not much funding for studies that have no potential for patenting and/or selling something. ;)

the NHS website tells me I should limit myself to 2 pieces of fruit a day. Why??

Are you referring to a natural hygiene site?  You may have found a bogus one that took the name but not the principles.  here is a good NH site: http://healthscience.org/

Thanks for mentioning healthscience.org, I'll definitely check it out. What I like about Nutritionfacts is that it seems to be unbiased and independant from industry lobbys. 

I find that it's also good to lead by example. Eat loads of fruit and get super healthy, and then your friends/families won't worry as much. At first my mom was convinced I would get diabetes because I ate so many dates, so I showed her some of Dr.Gregors videos on youtube about dates; they actually keep blood sugar in check ;)

Here's a good one about sugar. Even refined sugars, as long as they're consumed with fiber; do not spike your blood sugar as much as straight sugar water. 

Also he has a video about sugar free diets vs those that include sugar...I can't find the video though, but it may possibly be in a paleo vid of his.

But basically those who avoided sugar actually had greater blood sugar spikes than those who did not avoid sugar but consumed it in the form of fruits.
