If breakfast is at 2200-2400 calories, then probably salads might work if they were both at least 100 calories. Otherwise, I don't recommend it. I've done it a bunch of times, never works cause I just get hungry right after and end up eating fruit.
Hi Andrea. Since the main food group for us is fruit, it will be a challenge to get enough carbs and calories when 2 out of 3 meals are salad. I eat three solid fruit meals, between 2500-3000 cals per day of fruit. Salads are really low in cals (unless topped with high fat dressings, nuts or avacados but would still be low in carbs - our main requirement). You would have to eat 5 honey dews or 25 bananas at breakfast to get 2500 cals in fruit. Maybe having 2 large fruit meals and then a nice big salad for dinner might work? Or three fruit meals, two for lunch and dinner followed by a salad?
Well, you could always eat fruits and also salads in the same meal. Or even salads with fruit! Salads don't have to be greens only. This way it should be possible. Love, Daniel <3
I have a new definition of salad. My base salad is cut up juicy fruit. Lots of it. To this I add baby spinach or some other green I like. They do not look like old SAD salads that are dry and have fat dressing on them.
I also eat Salad whenever I want. I haul fruit with me everywhere in case I get hungry. Come to think of it, I just eat whenever I want as long as it is vegan, raw and low fat.
That's it, Myca! You said it! Eat whatever you want, whenever you want and however much you want, provided it's food! (a.k.a. low fat raw vegan) : )
