Durianrider has a video about that (related to testosterone). I have experienced the same decline of the empire. However, when I focus on my intake of carbs not changing my fat intake, the drive is getting back to a more normal status I would say... But if you also train really hard, it might also deplete you of your glycogen reserves and the first thing to go is the "drive".
"i tell my wife...that in nature animals reproduce once a year - at most! lots of animals go years without reproducing."
from what i've read, chimpanzees are out there makin van halen look like a bunch of nuns.
Cholesterol and the steroid hormones like testosterone are NOT built from fat.
Most cases of low testosterone levels are due to relatively low caloric intake. The synthesis of the steroid hormones like testosterone is energy-dependent, NOT fat-dependent. Fat can raise testosterone production because it is high in energy, not because it is fat. The starter substance for all steroid hormones is cholesterol which is built by fusion of two molecules of acetyl coenzyme a = biochemical energy carrier, not from fat. The body will only strive to reproduce, if there is more energy (=food) available than needed, not just enough.
