I was just accepted into the group yesterday and spent most of today reading different forum posts. This is exactly the kind of stuff/place I was looking for. So I appreciate the add and look forward to becoming apart of the group.
A little about me: I am 26, married, have two little girls and have been a vegan for about a year. (I am the only vegan in the house) I also currently live in Alaska. I have been an Alaska state resident for the past 2 years. Produce is brought here on boats and/or trains.... it's quite expensive and the quality is poor. Because of this I have to buy a lot of frozen fruits.
I have been experimenting with 80/10/10 for about 3 or 4 weeks now. I really LOVE it and I can't wait to fully commit! My husband is in the Coast Guard and we are moving to Cape Canaveral Florida March 31st. So, really soon! I can't wait for farmers markets and FRESH FRUIT!!! **If anyone is in that area of FL I would love to chat! I am curious about the area and would love to bombard you with questions! :)
I do have a few questions about 80/10/10 that I will post on other forum topics. I haven't read the book yet... so maybe I will wait to post until then.
Looking forward to meeting/posting with you all!
Hi. I live in Alaska. I can not stand the prices here. It is fun to collect wild berries in late September though. What was it that inspired you to start this lifestyle? My family thinks I am insane for eating fruit for breakfast instead of eggs, but they still tolerate me. :)
