I have some wonderful friends who, despite not being raw vegans themselves, are very respectful of my diet and most happy to cater for it. They always have fruit and veg when I am around and will make a big raw salad for me. Whilst I am always very appreciative of their efforts, I am not sure how to explain to them that I have become an "instinctive" eater - I do not plan my meals anymore (as little as possible anyway) but will eat whatever I am drawn to - right now for instance, I really want bananas - the mere idea of, say, avocado or oranges makes me want to throw up, whereas this morning I was craving oranges, and yesterday I had the urge to eat 2 avocados - a very rare occurence for me (that was my first avos in several months I think). I ate the salad my friends made (raw cauliflower, celeriac, carrot, beetroot and seeds) but that really wasnt what I wanted. How do you put that "instinctive eating" concept to people ? i do not want to appear more of a freak than I already must be in their eyes "
