So i've been going on and off raw till 4 and fully raw hclf for 1,5 year... but it was this last day of oktober I decided to eat a full on vegetarian diet (i'm careful about using the vegan word since I don't know what I am atm) and more towards the HCLF. I am a recovering ED-girl with 3,5 years of anorexia and hardcore bulimia... why I failed HCLF in the past is basically scared of weight gain and issues with people not understanding the diet.
But I've been on it for four days now and no issues except extreme insomnia, though I am super tired I just can't fall asleep until like 2-3 am. This breaks my heart as I love sleeping, and not sleeping at night makes me go up and eat (yesterday I had my last dinner at 1,30 am and I wasn't even hungry for once, I just felt like eating). This also suck because I try to eat my breakie at nine and keep sort of strict mealtimes so my body will learn it will get food (advice from my therapist). But when I wake up and drink my 1 l water I become more bloated than I dunno what and I can't eat anything until like 2-3 hours after nine when the bloating has gone down. I tried eating fully raw yesterday and even at my last dinner since I thought it was the rice that caused the bloat, but bananas and spinach made it worse. I eat enough during the day, I know because I stop counting after 3500 calories.
Basically, anyone have advice on insomnia and the water-bloat inte the morning? :)
have you tried using some essential oils before sleep?just sprinhklin a drop or two on your pillow or something like aroma therapy could be helpful..
when you eat at night, try to have something light like apple or orange
maybe you are drinking the water too fast?
