30 Bananas a Day!

Yah so basically I now have a leg injury and Im not allowed to be on it for a couple of weeks. I know this lifestyle is about health and not weight but I really want to know if Im going to gain weight if I continue to eat around 3000 calories a day without much exercise?

you dont need to eat so much the more you rest the faster you will heal you might fast a little
Ya I would take the chance to get familiar with fasting since you won't be real active anyway. I just did a 24 hour fast and it was nice (:

I'd be far more worried about losing weight if I was only going to be eating 3,000 calories a day and not exercising.   I've been eating 5,000 a day for several months now and haven't gained any unwanted weight.  Sure, I exercise a lot, but I seriously doubt that I'm burning 2,000 calories a day from exercise. 


Even if I decided to take it easy and not exercise for the next 2 weeks I wouldn't try to reduce my calorie intake in any way.  On "rest days" I still eat the same.

Woah! 5k every day, very impressive. What does an average day of food intake look like for you?

Bananas and Dates are the main calorie sources. 


Today it was 54 bananas, 2 heads of Romain Lettuce, an Apple, and the water and meat of 1 Thai Coconut.  (Which actually comes to a grand total of 6155 calories according to Cron-O-Meter. )


For exercise today i did an hour of yoga and an hour of weightlifting which according to calorie burning websites would burn far less than 1,000 calories. 



I've been getting 4000kcals a day for the last few weeks, and i've lost a few kilograms of weight. Only been doing a little exercise (Push ups, sit ups and sometimes a bike ride).


Eat the right stuff and let the body get as much as it asks for! After all you are HEALING an injury, so should need energy for that.


Are there little exercises you could do?

Surely you'd be less hungry though? I'm an endurance athlete so I don't have too much lean muscle mass to feed but still when I'm less active I don't eat as much.

Sorry to hear about your injury. I highly recommend doing joint mobility and some light stretching if possible. It will help you termendously until you are able to exercise fully again.
