Information against consumption of cooked plant-based foods?

Before I bring up my question, let my first state that this is not an "arguement"...I am genuinely intrested in hearing the information that is against the consumption of cooked plant-based foods.

Okay so here it is, I eat 90% raw, vegan. I have chosen to include beans, brown rice, and steamed vegetables in my diet. This is what I believe is healthiest for me.  But, many people have been advising me against this and yet I haven't been able to find any information on the internet against these specific foods.   The only information I have found about these foods has been positive.

My question is, what is it about these specific foods that makes them harmful? I don't feel I can make educated decisions without both sides of the argument so I will be grateful to hear any view you may have towards these foods.

Thanks :D

P.S.   Just to be clear, my question is about these three specific foods(brown rice, steamed vegetables, beans)   Not plant food in general.( I already understand the perils of say..wheat for instance)

Cooked Food Effects article covers it all:

Also read: "Diet, Nutrition and Cancer." Dr. T. Colin Campbell and others wrote this report for the US government about 30 yrs ago and it showed how heat creates carcinogens.
also read the 80/10/10 diet by doctor Doug, he talks about the health consequences of eating cooked grains (acid forming, damaging to the intestinal lining, contains anti-nutrients which increase our requirements for minerals like calcium zinc and selenium etc.) which applies to brown rice. most beans are also acid forming and are higher in protein than is optimal for human health. acid forming foods can contribute to toxemia, osteoporosis and eventually cancer (which explains why folks on the pritikin diet still could get cancer). also if you're eating rice and beans at the same meal they won't digest very well because of the disparate macronutrient profiles of the 2 foods (starches and proteins don't mix). hard on the tummy and will release toxins into the body from the undigested food.

I'd definitely choose steamed veggies over rice and beans, but of course raw fruits and tender greens are most optimal :)
I would love to get Dr, Grahams book but right now I don't have access to it. I'll get it when I get the chance :D
yeah you won't find it in most bookstores or libraries, you'd have to order it online from amazon or doug's foodnsport.com. were I you I'd order it right now, put it on my credit card, and figure out how to pay for it later.. but hey that's me, I'm a believer :)
Heheh, Well were I a legal adult and actually own a credit card(...probably wouldn't)...I would be with you on that. Ill be working in the summer, and that book will be my first priority.
heard that one before: "yeah it's a first priority of mine, I'll do it a couple months from now." ;)

you can get a used copy here for $17 + $4 shipping:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/1893831248/ref=sr_1_1_olp?ie...

I'd be astonished if you couldn't earn/borrow/beg the funds in a week's time.. it's not like this is a down payment on a house or car. :)
21$ is a good price, and Ill buy it as soon as I can but right now isn't that time :D

I plan to start working in a couple of weeks anyway.
Great article, Debbie!
excellent read!
It seems info on the brown rice and beans is well addressed but where is the information on vegetables?? Such as lightly steaming broccoli, green beans, etc. I am excluding potato from this mind you. I can never find this info directly as it always sites effects on other heated foods.
I eliminated beans from my deit because they weren't making me feel good....but I agree the information against steamed veggies is ...no where to be found...
