I can imagine how our culture and so many of our jobs are in some way related to the food production, transformation and transportation, or to other goods and services exploiting animals.
So, in my case, I'm pretty sure my job would not exist if everyone was fruitarian, because 95% the products we manufacture in volume (refrigerated display cabinets) would be useless without meat and dairy.
What would happen to your job?
Interesting...but it would be a slow change and so new job opportunities would crop up where old ones became obsolete. I work in a sushi shop...I have had one vegan customer in 7 months working there. I experimented with bowls of fruit salad out of my own pocket (I have a boss who is open to me mixing it up) but it was not popular. People def come in for the dead flesh. My job would become defunct but I would go work on a fruit farm down the road :D
I would never serve dead animals, it's also not very vegan.
I live in a very small community...work is scarce...I do what I can, spend my wage at the market on fruit and am starting a new job next week...
Wouldn't it be nice if we would work together as a collective community, and none of us needed a job? If we could live symbiotically with nature. Our purpose is to plant food trees and plants all across the globe. Instead, we destroy everything. The more so called jobs we get rid of, the better off the planet will be. There are very few occupations that heal our mother Earth. We should get rid of the monetary system all together. Unfortunately, mankind has created a world of dependent people. Dividing the land into small sections so that we are not able to be self reliant.
