So I've been keeping my diet pretty damn clean, been incorporating cooked high carb, such as porridge (oats, water and coconut sugar), potatoes, rice, steamed squash, courgette ect, some no fat, no salt organic tomato and basil passata, with little bits of onions and stuff, question is, if I just keep it low fat, high carb, vegan, no salt, no oil, and over 2500, will I still detox? Will it be slower? Will I still loose the weight? I still eat pretty much all fruit throughout the day, like bananas and grapes, pears, plums, apples etc, lots of dried fruit. Questions questions questions.
Any answers would be lovely.
nobody can answer that for you because it seems like people react differently to cooked food. some people are okay with it and some people can't handle it after being raw for a while. try it and see how it works for you. seems like a lot of people have had success on raw-til-4 style which is basically what you are describing.
Well, I have been doing raw til 4 for a while now, but have recently run into money issues and have had to have some cooked for lunch too, and I just want to know if I will gain even more or, if it will slow down detox or what.
Highs and lows eh, no stranger to them, although I haven't been for a vast majority of my life. *sigh*
I am in the middle of nasty detox, waiting to get some extra cash in so I can afford all the fruit I want. It's hard, coming up to winter with around £25pw for food, max, uncertain of that really. I suppose I'll have to join in with the rat race, get some cash. :/
What a great idea, there are a few local organic farms that I volunteer with occasionally, I also work at a wholefood store and I get a 30% discount on all f&v witch is amazing! I'm just leading the life of a scatty artist and my confidence has hit rock bottom, find it hard to concentrate on anything since gaining this weight, just trying to keep myself pre-occupied. I do tend to beat myself up, there are much bigger problems than my weight-loss, just don't feel like I'm 100% me. Thanks so much for your encouragement and advice.
yes in the long term
Been doing this for 11 weeks. Making sure I am carbed up to the max, emotions still haywire. Suppose I've got a lot to deal with.
good stay carbed up ! 25pound bag of rice is a good value for your dinner carbs while your tight on cash . its good to have bulk on hand .
Make sure you eat your fruit during a day and try to keep the cooked starches for dinner. Otherwise you digestion would be messed up even if you are eating low fat high carb. That' s just my experience, always fruit before starches. Plus lots of water, sleep before 9, and move outside.
defo always eating my fruit before starches, eating as much fruit as possible during the day then having cooked potatoes in the eve :)getting as much sleep as pos, atm it's 7-8hrs because I'm so uncomfortable about my detox, being fat and spotty is horrible. I drink 4ltr a day approx.
well try to go to bed before 9 anyways, just lay down and meditate if you can' t sleep
